Books are living creatures

This must have taken a while. I love the colour changes and the secretive, 'at night toys come alive' sort of narrative it has. I would like to make a short animation, get using film a lot more.

Bookcase-mania

I have an obsession about bookcases, this one is nicely ordered by colour. I have a folder on my desktop especially dedicated to studio/bookcase photographs (a little keen, i know), I find them interesting - I think its the grids and structure and then all the sections of colour from books that attracts me... and it also adds to my fantasy day dreaming of what my studio one day might look like.

Books you should own

Got some new books for Christmas, which if you don't know them already, you should! 

David McCandless' Information is Beautiful, this is a good 'christmas day book', something to read while everyones asleep ;) it takes a while to get your head around all these pretty diagrams and the big message behind them. I really like the chosen image for the cover too.

Alan Fletchers The Art of Looking Sideways, a classic and must-have book - a good reference and so big you'll always see something new inside. I also went to the Alan Fletcher exhibition in the summer at The Kemistry Gallery which was full of plastic sleeves full of knick-knacks and stuff he had collected.
